As in a fairy tale
A young family wanted to build an idyllic new house with a barn for horses and a shed for storage. They contacted architect Bernard De Clerck, who is very familiar with this type of work. The whole had to have soul and give the impression that it had been built there for decades.
A tall house was erected, covered with whitewash towards the street and showing traces of renovations which give it a more lived-in impression.
The barn with half-timbered walls and red limewash also breathes this atmosphere. The stables are made of reclaimed brick.
The surroundings of the house with some beautiful old oaks were subtly complemented by green massifs and integrate the whole perfectly into the landscape.
